Empire Design's Timon Mahony on the Autodesk Smoke and Autodesk Lustre Workflow
Founded in 1996, Empire Design started out creating movie posters exclusively for print. The company's work became so renowned that clients began asking if it also did trailers. It didn't, but realized it should. Today, the London- and New York-based company creates both posters for high profile films -- including The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, and the upcoming James Bond feature Quantum of Solace - and intriguing and compelling film trailers for movies such as The Bourne Ultimatum, The Last King of Scotland, Knocked Up, and many more.

I have bad news for those out there who were expecting Flash CS4 to, well, suck: It doesn't. Far from it. The shutter effect or iris effect is one of those effects you can achieve with a single shape layer. To control the aperture, you can set up a simple expression to open and close the elements.
