What Pixols are and how they differ from pixels
In this clip, Lynda.com host Eric Keller takes a few minutes to talk about some of the unique technology behind ZBrush's paint strokes. He discusses Pixols, which is what ZBrush uses to create a unique style of digital paint. They are similar to pixels, in that they are little dots on the screen that make up the digital image. The difference is that Pixols store a little bit more information. Pixols also store information about where they are in terms of depth, or where they are in 3D space.

The second part of Cineform Neo4k and NeoHD is what's known as ReMaster; a software utility for batch-process transcoding of media files into the various Cineform formats. But along with batch-processing, ReMaster also provides a variety of functions that extend beyond just encoding into the Cineform wavelet codec. ReMaster has tools for resizing files on encode so it becomes a perfect tool for HD online intermediate workflows from 2k or 4k acquisition sources.
