Digital Signs Don't Sell, Don't Inform When They Display the Blues
IMS Research just reported that the digital signage market racked up about $4 billion in sales last year performing well even during the downturn and with a projected growth of 20+ percent over the next three years. Great news for all of the partners/players. Problem is many organizations still use PCs as signage controllers. Does the job lots of the time but they also suffer from the common ailments of PCs...malware, unscheduled updates, blue screen. A better and more economic solution is a controller made specifically for networking (or local use) and non-PC based.

Using required and optional elements in RSS feeds
RSS feeds are composed of a collection of XML tags and some of them are required and some of them are optional. Now, all RSS feeds that have the version 2.0 as their version number have the RSS tag as their root. That goes along with the version attribute that contains the string 2.0, which clearly identifies the file as an RSS version 2.0 feed.
