Emergency Preparedness for Blackout Threats
As a business leader, you are responsible for creating and implementing emergency preparedness plans to protect your business. One of the many threats that your business may face is a blackout - a power outage that occurs over an extended period of time. At first, preparing for a power outage may not seem daunting - your office will be fine without power for several hours. In fact, you and your employees may even enjoy the time away from work. However, if this blackout continues over a period of several days, weeks, or even months, and if it was caused by severe weather in your nearby area, including tornadoes, hurricanes, or flooding - then it becomes a crisis. Rosie O'Donnell Lucky To Be Alive After Heart Attack
Rosie ODonnell suffered a heart attack last week, and thanks to some quick thinking and paying attention during the commercials, she is alive. The insight came from Rosies post on her blog, where she credited her survival to two things, a Google search and a Bayer aspirin.

Russia calls time on alcohol adverts
Russia has banned outdoor ads and TV commercials for alcohol, with a further ban covering print ads from January, in an attempt to curb alcohol consumption. Ivor Bennett reports.
