Company representatives who are researching products and services online clearly prefer video: A recent Forbes article noted that almost 60% of business professionals said they would watch a video first before reading the text on the same page. But it's important to recognize that not all video messaging strategies are created equal.

Metamorphosis at NAB and AdTech?
The National Association of Broadcasters branded their convention this year under the theme Metamorphosis, which describes a conspicuous and relatively abrupt change usually accompanied by a change of behavior. The mostly male, white, middle aged to older executives certainly didnt look or act conspicuously different from past NAB attendees, nor did the focus of the event reflect a significant change in behavior. By contrast, few of the 10,000 attendees and 200 exhibitors at AdTech in San Francisco have ever worked in the TV, radio or print media business and theyre increasingly young with a growing base of females. But AdTech remains an over-weighted celebration of early and mid-stage companies struggling to establish themselves in a cluttered competitive environment. Nyjah Huston , fresh off a gold medal win at the X Games in Brazil, tells Ali that he grew up vegan and never drank soda. The 18-year-old is one of the top skateboarders in the world, and the subject of the new documentary, The Motivation. But what we all want to know is: can he teach Ali to do an Ollie? Nyjah has also started a charity with his mom called Let It Flow, which raises money to build wells and sanitation facilities for communities who need better access to clean water.
