DMN Tutorial - Sorenson Squeeze 5
I have been a huge user and fan of Sorenson Squeeze for three versions now. It is my "go to application" when I want quality compressions. The best part is Squeeze contains output presets to all the major formats such as Flash SWF and FLV, QuickTime, MPEG-4, and WMV.
Lenovo S10 ThinkStation
Entry level creative workstation from the Chinese company that bought IBM's workstation and ThinkPad line

Turbo.264 Video Encoder
Elgato encoder purrs along.
Elgato, makers of eyetv 3, have come out with another way to convert your video files. The turbo.264 is a quick and easy way to convert your videos to H.264(mp4) files. This week, Michael Smith took delivery of his elgato turbo system and immediately went to work unboxing the package. Here is his walkthrough.
Panasonic RP HC500 Noise Cancelling Headphones
As a sinus sufferer, I don't like earbuds either for my music player or as a mobile phone headset. You continually feel as if you should be blowing your nose, every sound echoes around inside your skull and when you speak, because you cannot hear yourself properly, you tend to shout; the more you shout, the more it rattles around your head.
CINEMA 4D FLAG 03
The easiest flag of all: WIND and SPLINES
The wind deformer on a plane primitive is probably the easiest way to create a flag in MAXON's CINEMA 4D. There are several ways to accomplish a "flag" look, but the simple primitive shape of a plane and a standard wind (aka : flag) deformer working together provide an animation that even the newest user can understand. Many people consider adding it to an object, but you can add it to a spline as well.

The easiest flag of all: WIND SIBLING
The wind deformer on a plane primitive is probably the easiest way to create a flag in MAXON's CINEMA 4D. There are several ways to accomplish a "flag" look, but the simple primitive shape of a plane and a standard wind (aka : flag) deformer working together provide an animation that even the newest user can understand. Usually you would apply the deformer to the object, but there are other ways you can use it.
